Local Streams Get Help from DEP

Canaan Valley Institute recently received $448,082 from the Nonpoint Source Program of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to help certain communities in southern Berkeley County reduce pollution in local streams.  Click here to read the press release.

$1 Million Available to West Virginians

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection in partnership with West Virginia Housing Development Fund is offering low interest loans to eligible borrowers to install, repair or replace existing onsite septic tanks.  This program can also cover the cost of connecting to publicly-owned sewer treatment systems, if available.   Click here for more information.
