Opequon Creek Project Team


The Assessment

In 2006, Team members, using "The Easy Assessment Method" conducted a watershed survey of the Opequon Creek.  On eight separate days the Team manned kayaks and gathered data about the general physical conditions of the Opequon and the environmental problems impacting the stream channel and    stream banks.  The data from each reach, including photographs, was then put into a database with GIS coordinates and, in the summer of 2010, the WVDEP intern, Suzy Lucas, created the following maps.
